i didn't just fail, i failed catastrophically. All of my chefs agreed with me when i said i thought it would be beneficial for me to decide if this is really want i want to do, in this area.
this WAS terrible with raisins in it. I got everything done, but it was not nearly as good as i wanted it to be or as it should have been. I got something like a 45%.
If it's what you really want to do, though, don't let this deter you. (I know: easy for me to say, huh?) But I think you'll be really excellent if it's what you really want to do. Maybe it was a craptastic day.
I'm sorry to hear that but I agree with Q. If you love it, do not give up. Everyone has their off days and it doesn't mean you are terrible at it over all. I also think that some things, you get better with over time - cooking being one of those. Don't give up, you rock.
Can't you be a chef and not specialize in baking so much?
Think about what you love to do because that's what makes us happy...and messing something up that you love once should not stop you from continuing to do it.
